Girls on the Run is a unique before school program for 3rd through 5th grade girls designed to promote healthy habits and an active lifestyle. The 10 week program combines training for a 5k (3.1 mile) running race with education and interactive discussions about critical issues that will affect pre-teen girls as they reach adolescence. Trained coaches teach life lessons to girls through fun and clever running games and workouts.

We will meet at Dufief on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:30am-8:30am. The program starts on September 13th.

We are pleased once again to offer Class Piano lessons at Dufief Elementary. Sponsored by the PTA, it is a wonderful opportunity for children to gain a comprehensive introduction to music and playing the piano. Students meet once each week with Mrs. Rochelle Iserson, Montgomery County Class Piano, Inc., certified teacher, and past President of the Montgomery County Class Piano Teachers Association. She will offer two classes, one for 1st year and another for 2nd year students. Registration is due by Sept 5th, with classes beginning on Sept.13th. Click here for more information.

 Hands On Science programs are built on current research in hand/mind learning styles and cognitive development.
